A live performance I did of Andy McKee's Ebon Coast. The first verse is slightly modified so that it does not repeat the same theme twice.
Cascades is an original composition inspired by the undulations of a waterfall as it flows and churns through its channel. As such it tries to incorporate some "text-painting"(although there is obviously no text), with a generally peaceful affect to represent flowing water which is then punctuated by a modulation in key and a more tumultuous section to simulate rapids, then a return to the peaceful section and an outro as the water returns to glassy smoothness. I tried to incorporate a lot of techniques and concepts into the piece, including drop tuning, tapping, harmonics, percussives, a key change, and a designated outro. I hope you enjoy!
